Wellington College is looking to recruit a number of bright and enthusiastic graduates to teach Mathematics, Computer Science or Economics from September 2015.
We are offering a competitive package including a starting salary of £18,000 p.a., free accommodation and meals and the possibility to gain further professional qualifications whilst working at the College.
I entered teaching in exactly this manner 10 years ago upon graduating from Trinity; they have proved not only to be ten happy years in teaching, but successful ones. I firmly believe that for graduates who may still be looking for career ideas, or for those already thinking of joining the teaching profession, the benefits of working in independent boarding schools are significant. Wellington, and other schools like it, offer strong career and salary progression, excellent opportunities for travel and professional development, and a wonderful sense of community and belonging. Furthermore, the additional benefits such as housing and free food make for a very easy way to save money in the first few years out of university.
There will be an opportunity to meet senior staff on an informal basis this Monday at the Cambridge City Hotel to find out more about the positions available.
Details of the post, and the Monday meeting, can be found here: https://intranet.wellingtoncollege.org.uk/resource.aspx?id=334831
